Creating the Perfect Analog Bag!
I’m seeing more and more young adults sharing their analog bags online and I’m loving this trend! Remember when our kids were little and we’d pack up crayons, paper and craft kits to keep them occupied at the restaurant? Well it’s like that, but for teens and adults.
We all know we should be scrolling less, but breaking the habit can feel overwhelming and leave us defeated. My take - do it in small steps. I love the idea of brining some simple fun activities with you when you’re on the go so that when you want to reflexively reach for the phone you have an easy alternative at your fingertips.
So, to spark your creativity when it comes to creating an analog bag I’ve created a couple of Inspo boards. Check them out, share and leave a comment with your own ideas!
In this one I’ve got:
A Kindle (not analog - I know, but if it leads to reading I’m in!
Cute small sketchbook
Travel watercolor set
Old school point and shoot camera
Mini pocket sized puzzle book
Fun, artsy playing cards
Coloring Book
Colored pencils
Old school iPod
A little bit of a different vibe, this one includes:
A Kindle
A sketchbook
Sketching pencils
Point and shoot camera
Fun Stranger Things playing cards
A cool fidget toy
Mp3 player for music
Pocket sized Simon Says
To Go Puzzle book
The point here is to make it your own, make it fun - something you’ll look forward to. By the way, you can also just choose 1-2 activities to keep in your bag or backpack and call it a day - whatever works to help you replace the scroll and start developing a healthier relationship to the phone!
